The first step is to imagine what could be.

Meg Matich is a passionate storyteller with 10+ years’ experience curating brand, content, and integrated marketing strategies that inspire and teach audiences through vibrant narratives.

Critical Transferrable Skills

  • I build brands from the ground up, based on interviews and deep research. I write the brand books, editorial guides, operational strategies, and internal training/comms resources to support their adoption.

  • I spent 5+ years copyediting in the fast-paced world of financial services/news before moving into tech. There’s nothing quite as beautiful as a well-written, well-edited piece.

  • My thought leadership programs have garnered awards, including the 2023 Innovation Award; the knowledge center I established for that company contributed significantly to the jury’s decision.

I’ve also worked with Analyst Relations departments and know many of the ins-and-outs of AR. Within Marketing, that encompasses strategic use of analyst reports to give B2B buyers the information they need to make a purchase decision.

  • As a translator with 15+ years’ experience, I know what it takes to manage a transcreation and localization program for a marketing, sales, or BD department. I’ve managed many relationships with translation agencies in a corporate setting.

  • Content isn’t just pushing prospects down a funnel. I create holistic strategies that encompass everything from setting up socials (incl. executive presence) to e-mail nurtures and decision-making guides that tip the scales.

  • I’ve scrubbed into building M1/M2 decks and have managed creative agency relationships (as a client) time and again. I’ve also interfaced directly with clients as a contractor on the agency side. Seeing both sides of these relationships has equipped me to identify what both teams need to work efficiently together.

  • On-page flow, as well as the flow among pages and resources, can make or break user experience. I’ve collaborated with excellent web teams and designers to build or revamp web properties, using A/B testing to consistently improve.

  • I translate into English from Icelandic, Danish (reading), and German. I have reading proficiency in other Nordics, too.

  • I’m educated in poetry. The imaginative and analytical muscles I’ve strengthened as a writer have brought flexibility, empathy, and complexity to my thinking. These are three critical elements in grasping pain points and finding effective, economical ways to present the (your!) solution.

  • In every role I’ve taken on, I’ve mentored those around me — and accepted mentorship. My golden rule: Hear, listen, and accept feedback. That’s leadership.

  • I’ve improved content operations at both Fortune 500 companies and startups. Sometimes, redesigning inefficient processes; others, designing and implementing new workflows. At NetApp, I worked with the Marketing Technotogy Office to vet, recommend, and onboard departments onto the company’s first content lifecycle and project management platform — with 100% adoption.

  • I’ve scripted, created, reviewed, and critiqued a variety of video assets in tech – from explainer videos to on-demand webinars. I’ve organised events with many moving parts both inside and outside of Marketing positions.

  • “[Meg] was the perfect partner to approach brand narratives in unconventional ways—whether we were creating persuasive social content or higher stakes media investments like partnerships with the New York Times and WIRED, to podcast scripts with Conan O’Brien, Stephen Dubner, Kara Swisher, and more. [...] On a human note I am thankful for her empathy, her voice and pursuit of diversity and inclusion in the organization and how it reflects in the work – from brief to execution.”

    — JASON S.

  • “When taking on a new project, Meg dives into the details and brings an unmatched ability to research, document, and synthesize her learnings. This makes her work thoughtful, nuanced, thorough, and never plain vanilla.”

    — ANDREA S.

  • "Meg is thoughtful, collaborative and a consummate professional. She […] brings fresh approaches and new ways of thinking to storytelling. One of her strengths is keen attention to detail - she likes to build a strong understanding the customer journey and how each piece of content will advance digital relationships and connections. Creating digital strategies and connections with customers is a team sport. Meg is great at listening to others while sharing her own ideas."

    – GAIL M.

  • “Meg's knowledge and understanding of translation and cultural nuances brought the project to another level. […] She has a deep passion for words and this transcends into her projects. I found Meg to be highly skilled and thought ahead to how the project could evolve.” –Sarah S.
